Christ in the Smokies, Gatlinburg, TN – Review

To start off Day 3 in Gatlinburg we went to Christ in the Smokies.  This attraction used to be called Christus Gardens, but the owner couldn’t afford to keep it open so it was sold to because an apartment complex that never came to be.  Finally someone bought the building and the statues.   The story of Jesus is told through a series of wax scene.  It is very well done and not overly preachy.  The best part, however comes at the end of the tour when you walk into the garden and there is a large mable carving of Jesus’ face.  The way its carved, it looks like his eyes follow you where ever you go in the garden.  I would very much recommend this attraction.
